
He was born in Acquarica del Capo (Lecce - Italy). Since he was very young he devoted himself to the study of percussion instruments, qualifying himself in this field with many professional experiences. He has got his musical studies at the "Tito Schipa" Academy of Music in Lecce under Maestro Fulvio Panico's guidance, graduating with honours. Afterwards he took a degree in didactic of teaching at the "N. Rota" Conservatoire of Monopoli (BA) and in Musical Disciplines with interpretative trend at the "Tito Schipa" Academy of Music in Lecce with honours.
He soon turn himself to the study of ethnical percussions with teachers of the level of Stefano Rossini, Arnaldo Vacca, Massimo Carrano, Louis Agudo, Giovanni Imparato, Glen Velez, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Robertinho Silva.
During his career he has collaborated, among others, with PAOLO BELLI, FRANCESCO BACCINI, RICCARDO COCCIANTE, MASSIMO RANIERI, GIANNA NANNINI, SAMUELE BERSANI, STADIO, GIGI D'ALESSIO, ANDREA BOCELLI, ANTONELLA RUGGIERO, ANNA TATANGELO, ALESSANDRA AMOROSO, RON, GIANNI MORANDI, AL BANO CARRISI, EDOARDO VIANELLO, POOH, RENZO ARBORE, GIGI PROIETTI, PEPPINO DI CAPRI, FABIO CONCATO, RICK MARGITZA, IRIO DE PAULA, HECTOR ULISES PASSARELLA, ROBERTINHO SILVA, MASSIMO CARRANO, GILSON SILVEIRA, STEFANO ROSSINI BATUQUE PERCUSSION, ZEDUARDO MARTINS, ARTHUR MILES, Percusonido, CHROMATIC PERCUSSION ACADEMY
He boasts numerous collaborations with prestigious orchestras, among whom: University of Lecce Orchestra, Paisiello Theatre Orchestra, Foundation I.C.O. Tito Schipa of Lecce Orchestra, Petruzzelli Theatre Orchestra of Bari (on the occasion of the first European performance of the African Oratorio shot in live broadcast from R.A.I. International), Simphony orchestra of Pesaro, Inter-University Orchestra of Lecce and Parma.
He collaborated with composers such as Louis Bacalov (Oscar for the music of "Il Postino") and with eminent conductors like Maestro Riccardo Muti, Maestro Aldo Ceccato. He composed some pieces for "Percusonido" ensemble which appear in the first band's cd "Suoni della terra" (Earth's Sounds), appreciated and also included in the concert's program of percussionists of the theatre "Alla Scala" in Milano.
Many times he has been a member of some orchestras within television programmes at R.A.I., Mediaset, MTV and Sky (Art Festival 2005, Fiorello "Stasera Pago Io Revolution", "La Corrida", 46° Oscar TV, 47° Oscar TV, 38° Premio Barocco, Orange Camp, 48° Premio Regia Televisiva, 39° Premio Barocco, 39° Premio Regia Televisiva, 40° Premio Barocco, 50° Premio Regia Televisiva, 41° Premio Barocco) and he has taken part in some numerous jazz and ethnical festivals: "Festival Interceltique du Lorient" (Francia), "Villa Celimontana jazz Festival" Roma, "Perdonanza Celestiniana" L'Aquila, "Isola Folk" Bergamo, "Festival Itinerario Brasile" Frascati, "Locomotive jazz Festival" Sogliano Cavour (LE).
In the theatrical field he has collaborated with "Terrammare Teatro".
He teaches percussions at the Public Middle School and at many private schools, he is teacher and person in charge for Puglia (Italy) of the "Scuderie Capitani" drums chair and national coordinator of "Percussion Academy".
He held some refresher courses, Seminars and Masterclass for teachers, students and musicians.
As teacher he has important collaborations to his credit in the sphere of business training with prestigious marks like: Coca Cola, Mc Donalds, Telecom, Nestlč, Fastweb, Hilti, Sara Assicurazioni, ...
